Question about canopy beds

Hi. I know this is a strange question, but....

I was at a yard sale today and picked up what I thought were two matching dust ruffles for little girls' beds. Now that I look at them I think one is a light bedspread and the other is maybe a canopy cover.

The one that I think is a bedspread is bigger and does not have the ruffles at the top. The other has ruffles on all four sides, but there are "button holes" at each corner. Is that a canopy cover?

Sorry for the dumb question, but I have boys and I got this to resell on E-Bay. It is definitely a set of something. What do you think it is?
