Question about cancelled cruise discount

My cruise was cancelled due to the Fantasy dry dock schedule and I was given a 20% discount on my next cruise. So I rebooked. PIF date is soon, and I now see that Passenger 1 (me) was given the 20% off. But passenger 2 (unnamed) was not. I only booked it for 2 in case my niece could come with me. She can not. I understand that the 2nd (unnamed) person should not get 20%. However, now it's just all me.

SO, now that I am the only person on the reservation, will I get 20% off the TOTAL price and not just my 'half'? Otherwise this really sucks for solo sailors. I believe I should get 20% off my TOTAL price since it's just me sailing.

??????

You should I would think... But it may involve cancelling and rebooking as a solo.

THANKS! I did give them a call and they DID take 20% of the price of a whole. I just told them to delete my Pretend cabin mate (cheaper to book and then remove then to add later if you think you might want to add someone) and he also took off taxes, etc and the PIF price went down $700. YAY!! Money for Palo and Wifi and . . . . fancy coffee! Solo cruising has it's perks.

That’s great. You got a great CM.

His name was Jason. I told him that if HE wanted to come with me we could just leave it as it was but he said he can't get that much time out (it's the TransAtlantic). He knew what I was asking, and took care of it, and I pretty much immediately got the confirmation of the new price. I was prepared for having to be on hold and was going to try during the week. Yeah, I lucked out. PIXIE DUST!!!
