Question about canceling 3 people from our CRT reservation

I have a problem because 3 people in our party of 9 had to cancel their trip. So now I am having a problem with adjusting the reservation to a party of 6. I was told I would have to cancel and rebook. We have a table for 6 and table for 4 held. I don't understand why they would not be able to cancel one table. But i am told they can't. I wish I knew this and I would have made them under two reservation #'s. I am scared that I would not get the reservation back once I canceled and went to rebook. Does anyone know how long it take to show up again so i could rebook?

Or is there somewhere on this board that I could post I have an extra table for 4 available? Sorry i am new to this board and don't know how it all works yet! Thank you for any advice.

There's a thread somewhere on THIS (the Restaurant) board for trading reservations, but I'd be leery when it involves a credit card hold.

Call back, and if they tell you they still can't do it - ask the CM to contact Guest Services while you wait. I don't know if that will work - but it's been successful for room reservation problems in the past.

Or at least ask for an upward series of supervisory personnel.

Also, have you tried making a new reservation FIRST, then cancelling the existing one?

This is for May 2nd so everything was booked up of course. That is what I was hoping to do but no luck. I will try and see if I can get anywhere with a supervisor.

After my post I have read some reviews make myself think should we even bother with CRT? We have the Premium DP so it is only using 1 TS. But if we keep the reservation the way it is we will be paying for the 2 extra adults and 1 child that don't come with us. So not sure it would be worth it.

Any suggestions for a better Breakfast. We are doing Akershus the day before.

Maybe you could hook up with someone on this board that would LOVE to have that other table so you wouldn't be out the cost- they could pay for it?

I've never been to CRT before - but it sounds like a great experience to try at least once and since ressies are so hard to get, you may want to just keep calling back until you can find a CM who will be more helpful.

If you decided to cancel, we LOVE the character bfast at Tusker House in AK. Also, Crystal Garden is always a big favorite -- has been since I was a kid.

BOMA is hands down the best breakfast on property!!
I did CRT with friends for breakfast and was sorely disappointed. I like the variety at Boma much better. CRT is just for the environment, but the princesses were in such a hurry to get to everyone it was a waste.

It is amazing what gets done when you get a different agent on the other end!! I just called to ask if I could reduce the size of the party and she said sure ok you are all set! And that was it. I wish every CM had the same answers. But anyways we are all set! They did if for the Fantasmic dinner package at Hollywood and Vine.
