I was wondering what you do with Camera Cases or backpacks while on Rides? Can you take them with you?? I have my Digital SLR camera with Lens I would love to take into the park with me but dont want to have to leave it somewhere to ride rides or not be able to go some of the rides. Thanks for any advice!

I have never had a problem taking any backpack or bag on any ride. Grizzly River Run may be the only exception, but not because you can't take it on, just it may get wet. There are lockers to use right beside the entrance to GRR that you may wish to use for that ride, but other than that, you should be ok.

I took mine on everything with me. It got a little wet on splash mt., but other then that it was fine.

The locker rental is a good idea if you don't have any other options.

We have a stroller and a 3yo. I know some folks are comfortable leaving that kind of thing in their stroller, but I really don't think it's a good idea. If we all go on a ride together, we take the camera bag with us. DS3 is now just tall enough to ride Splash Mt., and I think only once did we all go on it together; usually one of us goes on with DS7, and the other rides Winnie the Pooh with DS3. When we went on Splash, I put the camera bag inside the backpack to give it as much coverage as possible. If you have a plastic bag you can slip over it (tie it or rubberband closed), that would do the trick, too. :thumbsup2

I don't think I'd want to take it on GRR... unless my backpack was waterproof...

We have a SLR backpack, small, that holds the camera, extra lens as well as our DVD camcorder. Even has room for small snacks! We take it on all the rides and it has been on three trips with no issues on any of the rides.

we always carry a backpack and it goes with us on all the rides, including screamin'. never had any issues at all.

Take it on the rides, slip one leg into one of the holes created with the straps of the backpack and that should be sufficiently secured for all rides.

Godalejunior if you dont mind, what kind of SLR backpack do you have? I have been looking at the Tamrac & Lowepro backpacks but not sure what I want. I have 70-300 telephoto lens i would like to be able to fit attatched to my camera.

Just wanted to mention the fact that the lockers next to GRR are FREE for 2 or 3 hours (I can't remember the exact amt. of time). It's a nice perk to have a place to store your stuff while you're on the ride.

It is the Tamrac with the Strap accessory system. The backpack rocks. We bought it at Circuit City and love it. They had different sizes but we have the Sony SLR with the 300 zoom and it fits with the camera in the bottom part and the top part fits the DVD Handycam. There are little zipper and slots to put other stuff too.

I get leather backpacks or over the shoulder bags to take with me. I tie them around my feet on rides like splash mountain, and or put them beside me and cover them with my arm on rides like grizzley river run. They hardly ever get wet. if you are super worried, then get a plastic bag and put them in it while on water rides and put the bag around your wrist.

There are compartments to put your bags on other rides like Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain, and rides like the haunted mansion or buzz light year or the dark rides, put them beside you on your seat or by your feet. Theres no reason to get a locker if you dont need to.
