We are seriously considering purchasing DVC. The only problem we have is that we already own a Timeshare Condo that is other than Disney. Does anyone know if we went in and talk to the DVC reps, would they buy our preexisting condo and give us what it is worth towards a purchase of a DVC? I know many companies do this, but wasn't sure if Disney did this as well. So has any of you DVC members first owned another condo from someone else before going into DVC and then Disney did something to help you out? I am sorry if I am not making much sense here, wasn't sure how to word it. TIA for any info that you can give.

Disney doesn't buy other condos or timeshares. You can sell it yourself, then buy into the DVC.

Thanks for the quick reply, that is what I suspected, but thought I would ask the question anyways. Thanks again.

The timeshare you currently own might be worth keeping to use as a trader for travel to non-Disney locations as DVC points are usually the best value when used for on-site stays. Also, is it something you could rent out when you don't use it yourself? Perhaps the proceeds might help towards the DVC annual dues.
