Is it true that you have to catch a bus to the TTC and then another bus to get to epcot and studios?? Theres no direct buses to those parks? And if so how long does that take? Thanks for any info....2 days til disney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From Fort Wilderness you will take a bus from the outpost to Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Once at Epcot, you can get a boat and go to Hollywood Studios. You will go to the marina to get a boat to Magic Kingdom. If you want to have some fun, take the boat from the Marina to The Comtemporary. From there you can take the monorail to TTC. At that point you can hop on the monorail to Epcot. That's if you have time to kill and just want to ride the monorail.

This is what i heard form alot of people on here. I agree. You take there transportation if your going to Magic Kingdom (the boat) Otherwise you drive yourself everywhere else. Much much faster with no connections.

Rojo- You have some out of date information there.

There was once a time that you did have to go to the TTC from the Fort to catch a bus to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. But that was years ago.

When the direct buses began, the bus to HS (which was then MGM) used to run from the Settlement Bus Stop (by Pioneer Hall).

But, for the last several years now, there are direct buses to Epcot, HS, and AK from the Outpost Bus Stop. FW does not have a bus to MK- just the boat.

And in the interest of accuracy, the word "direct" is a bit of a misnomer, because the buses are shared with WL- so that usually involves a stop there on the way back to the Fort. And, the AK bus usually involves a stop at Blizzard Beach.

There are no longer buses that go from the Fort to the TTC.

Thanks for the info. So glad to hear we won't have to go to the ticket center. The crazy thing is I got this out dated info on this site!

Where on this site?

Do you mean somewhere else on the Disboards, or on the camping board?

It would be good to correct it.

All resorts have busses that go to all parks and Downtown Disney. If you want to go park to park or resort to resort, buses are not an option. While you can go to the TTC and transfer, you can also use ferries, boats, or the monorail depending on where you're going to.

Welcome to the camping boards. I haven't seen you around here before.

There are a few inaccuracies in your general statement:

1. There is no bus from FW to the MK. So this is one resort that does not have buses going to all parks.

2. There are buses that go from park to park. At each park. This must be a relatively new development, because I always believed it to be as you stated. But it is not, there are buses that go from park to park without having to go through another resort or DTD.

3. There is a bus from FW to WL, so that is one resort to resort bus. Also, after the HDDR, there are buses direct from the Fort to various resorts.

The info isn't on the discussion boards, but if u click resort info on the main page of Dis, then go to fort wilderness resort and campgrounds, at the top of under the resort name click transportation underlined in blue, it gives u infor on getting around fort wilderness and the buses.
