Question about Bus Transportation between parks

Hi all, my family of 4 will be at WDW in January '17 for the marathon weekend. We will hopefully have 4 day military park hopper tickets (assuming that promotion is renewed). In an effort to make use of the hopper aspect of things in our planning, I'm wondering if anyone can give me an idea of about how long bus transport between the various parks takes and how often these buses arrive (I know they say 20 minutes for resort-to-park transport).

Specifically, on our DHS day I was considering doing EMH at MK before we use FP+ reservations at DHS. Similarly, on our AK day, I was considering heading back to Epcot for dinner and Illuminations. I know MK and Epcot are linked on the monorail, but I'm not sure we'll do any hopping between those two. Just wondering how much time to allow for bus transportation between the parks. Any time you're traveling from Point A to Point B I'd give yourself an hour. The park to park buses run on the same 20 minute schedule that the others do. It's maybe 20-30 minute drive between parks and then building in time for having just missed a bus... Yep 1 hour. HTH

I agree. Leave an hour. That time is often generous (except MK/EP where you are waiting twice due to monorail transfers,) but it's a just in case. I would say in a practical sense, it's more likely to take 30 minutes... but I'd leave that hour just in case you hit everything wrong.

It could take you 20 minutes to get from a park to another park if you get lucky and get right on a bus without waiting or it could take you an hour,its one of those things.Even the monorail between Epcot and MK can take a good amount as it also involves transferring at the TTC.
