We are staying at BW for 4 nights in a row, but due to unavailability at the time of booking, our stay was made under 3 reservations as our days became available. Will we have to "check-out" 3 times if I don't merge them, or do you think we can stay in the room and BW knows what's going on? The only reason I would want to keep them separate is so we can get a dining plan for 1 or 2 days instead of all 4. Thank you!

If all units are the same type and view, call MS and have them link them. That way you will able to just check-in once and not have to move rooms.

I would email MS and have them modify the original reservation to add the additional nights. You keep the first reservation number and don't have to worry about linking.

It will require you to check in and out with each change. And yes, you might find you're not in the same room. That would be pretty unikely but still a possibility.

If you don't want to mess with that and can either agree to the dining plan for the entire time or to forego it entirely then what you want to do is to call MS and ask them to combine the reservations into a continuing stay under a single reservation. Do it all the time when I pick up nights to add on to a reservation.

I did that once, a 5 night stay. I waitlisted all 5 nights with a backup cash reservation. I stalked the website. Nights 3,4,5 opened up, I booked it and changed the waitlist. Night 2 came open, booked it and changed the waitlist. Night 1 was filled by waitlist, 28 days before checkin. Member Services automatically combined them when the waitlist filled.

If you don't call to have them combine the reservations you run the risk of having to check out & check back in multiple times to different rooms which is a total pain. Personally I'd prefer to pass on the Dining Plan rather than have to run the risk of having to keep changing rooms. Last November my annual 2 week F & W trip was 5 separate reservations in different type BWV studios since I messed up booking at the right time & some of my waitlists never came through. It was no fun having to keep moving but at least it was all in the same resort.

Merge the reservations they might do it automatically or you anyway when they see it is the same room type

Strictly speaking it is against the rules to get the dining plan for only 1 or 2 nights because you have different reservation numbers in the same room type. To reduce the number of nights for dining plan you are supposed to change room type or resort.

Another option would be to just merge the last 3 days of your stay and keep the first day separately. That way you have 2 reservations but you can get the dining plan for that first day but would have a high risk of room change after the first day.

If you don’t wanna risk MS merging them all, then just change the lead guest on the first reservation to something different from the rest of the reservations.
