Question about Borrowing Points

I thought the hard-to-get months were Adventure and Choice Seasons because the points were so much lower.

But the points are lower because it’s a quieter time for Dvc and they want to entice you to visit. They try to push us forwards the slower time and away from the busier time by having lower or higher points.

It’s like at Disneyland with AP blockout dates. They block APs because they are expecting crowds. Doesn’t make it a quiet day.

Yes, that should work then if it doesn't have to be banked HHI points and your ok with current.

This makes sense. So you really think all studios will be gone at 8 a.m. 7 months out for a July trip?

I haven't really watched the July availability but I believe June has been the most difficult of the summer months and it eases up in July. What I do know is that the very cheapest hotel rooms and studios are often gone by 7 months so if you are planning for pool or ocean view you'll probably have better success.

That's what I thought about June vs. July. I am planning on a pool view studio and will start checking availability for earlier dates, just to make sure I get something. Thanks for your help!

I have more than 1 contract in one of my UY's and it has always used banked points first, from both contracts, and then I have chosen which contract to use current UY points from. So, online, it does pool banked points for the membership and uses them first...providing its 7 months or less.
