I am new to your wonderful forum, and I looked around a bit trying to find an answer to my question but couldn't. I was just wondering how most of you booked your cruises?? Do you go through travel agents, the Disney Online site???? What would be my best bet for a bargain, and is there someplace I should steer clear off??

My Dh and I just decided we wanted to take our first cruise this summer, so I really need to work fast, lol! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Try Dreams Unlimited. They sponsor these boards and many people have had great luck with them. Some TAs have specials for DCL. We had Disney month through our TA and got some great little perks. No discount but cool stuff and an onboard credit. PM and I can give you the info. Many others will help you with who they have used. TAs mostly will give you the best deal and with DCL earlier is better.

I actually went directly thru DCL and booked via the website.
We are going on our cruise next week, and if all goes well we may rebook for the 7-night cruise...if we do so I think we may transfer the ressie to Dreams Unlimited simply because of all the good things I've heard about them.
As far as perks or anything of that nature, I don't know that you would get anything like that if you book thru DCL directly, I know I didn't. But I just decided that it would be easier to do everything myself online. Of course that was before I found this fabulous site and found out what all TA's can offer!

allseastravel.com is also a good website to compare to DU & cruisequote.com also.

Good Luck!

Oops I meant Cruisecompete.com :guilty: - but there also is a cruisequote.com too.

Have Fun Planning! :jumping4:

you can't discount the value of a good TA that you've forged a relationship with....My guy is a Cruiseone agent in Upstate NY whom my wife stumbled across by dialing a wrong # like 7 years ago....The guy's been so great, that I've referred many many of my friends and co-workers to him. I'd swear 1/2 his client base must be South Floridians by now....

I started with allseasons, went to costco than vacationstogo matched the price. so I went with them and booked our reservations. I was told by my ta thats the best price I could get and no there wouldnt be a fla rate. BUT when fla resident rates came out- she never told me and they were sold out- I called allseasons and they had what wanted, so I had to cancel my reservation and book a new one with allseasons. I couldnt pass up being upgraded and save $700. So my advice after all this- is shop around first. :D
