Question about booking S/D with the Govt. rate

We are traveling with my sister's family and I was wondering if I can book two rooms at the government rate? If this is permitted, do I have to put both rooms in my name and/or pay for them both? Or can I get the rate for both rooms and put her room in her name?

You can book upto three rooms at the goverment rate...just do not forget some proof of being a goverement employee in case they ask.

You can be a state employee. Bring your state employee ID or a pay stub.

does not have to be official buisness...you just need to prove you work for the goverment...city, state or federal.

I must not be doing it right. Just off the phone with CRO and they are telling me the only govt rate they have is for active duty military not just govt employees. I did ask if maybe there was a different rep who may have heard of it and she very nicely let me speak with someone else who also said they do not have govt rates. What should I be asking for?

Call the Swan or Dolphin directly. When I called to find out more details, I was about to book online and told them so. They told me I could get the same rate through them. You might tell them that you are going to book online. I'm not sure what website I was about to book with, but I think there are several that offer that rate.

Tigger ~ if you called CRO - you called Disney and that's why they spoke about the military rate - that's what Disney offers to active military personnel. S/D are not Disney resorts so you must call them directly to get the gov't rate that they offer or call starwood preferred guests. Starwood owns the S/D.
