Can anyone tell me if a 17" laptop will fit in the in-room safe at Bay Lake Tower?
I've been looking into a "laptop lock" for DH's laptop, but so far all of the combination ones are getting bad reviews, so I wonder if we'd be better off just putting it in the safe...

TIA!!

Are you staying on points or cash?

If cash, maybe you'd want it.

If points, your room is only visited every 4 days. You could just throw it in a drawer. Ours is just left out on the desk.

Haven't stayed there (yet) so can't answer your question. But unless you're having daily Mousekeeping, I don't know if I'd worry about it.

we're staying on points - it's our first trip "Home" :goodvibes

DH is nervous about it getting stolen, but honestly, the ratings for the "combo locks" don't have me convinced that we'd be better off with that. A lot of people seem to be having problems with the combo not working and then the lock is stuck in the laptop...

YES!! and I took pictures!! hang on...
I had my 15 inch MacBook Pro in there with plenty of room to spare!

I know a 15" laptop will fit. But I agree with Lovekermit - if you don't have maid service, it's easier to just leave in a drawer or something. For what it's worth, on my last AKV Jambo CL stay, we had maid service and nightly turndown, and I had the laptop in the small desk drawer (just hid all the cords and mouse, etc. so it wasn't obvious.) The safes there are tiny and no laptop would fit.

I have a 17" Macbook Pro. It fits in the BLT safe. I've stayed at BWV which has an older safe design and it won't fit in that safe.

At the resorts where my computer does not fit I just lock it in my luggage put it in the closet.

Thanks for all of the help - I think I'm just going to put it in the safe / lock it in the luggage as suggested.
I would hate for the lock to be stuck in the laptop!
