I started a thread just like this last year and it's heading down the same path. I'm going to start germophobe anonymous.
Before my kids entered the hotel room, I scurried around and Clorox Wiped everything down (headboard, table, chairs, remote, etc...). I also did a quick clean of the bathroom and sinks with Lysol. I know that's a disgusting thought for us germophobes. We brought blankets and sheets, but only used our blankets because the Disney sheets smelled of bleach so I knew they were clean.
The comforter sat in the corner the entire trip.
I also "GASP" carried Purell in our carriage and they washed their hands frequently in the parks. Our kids came home healthy.
