Question about Big Brother

Did they tell the people in the big brother house about the hurricane and whats going on? If I remember correctly, I *thought* there was a big brother going on during 9/11 and they told them what happened, one of the women had a relative there who was ok. I would think this is something that maybe should be communicated to them.

I wondered the same thing. They should tell them so it isn't a huge shock on Sept 20th when they leave the game. They did tell them about the 9/11, but if I recall they waited 5 or 6 days before telling them.

I don't know, but I thought it was interesting last night that Howie made a comment that he was no longer going to be known as Hurricane Howie.

After 9/11--they disclosed on air that they did this.

They mentioned absolutely nothing on air--and the whole point of the game is that they are locked from the world. They get nothing about anything.

I do believe they should have been told---but it is probably safe to assume that none of them are from there or have relatives there.

They told about 9/11 b/c one of the cast members had a cousin who was missing who did end up being one of the victims who died. She was given the option to leave and decided to stay.

(ETA--and it wasn't 5 or 6 days....she was told within a day or two.....happened on Tuesday and by the live show on Thursday she had already been told and they aired the recording of them telling her in the diary room).

I saw and heard nothing regarding this on the show or the live feeds. they must not know. the first thing that popped into my head is Maggie, being a ER nurse and all, you would for sure hear her talk about it, if they knew.
