Hi all! I have asilly question about Biergarten. How much does the beer run in the restaurant, or is it included in the buffet price?

Thanks

Alcoholic beverages are not included in the buffet price. (Unless I'm wrong I don't think any beverages are)

The last time I had the big beer it was $10.

Not sure how much a beer is. My DH has at least one every visit, but I do know it is not included in the buffet price.

We were there the last week of May. I'm pretty sure sodas were included. The big beer (HUGE) was $10. Someone on the boards suggested getting it to go if you weren't finished, so we did. Our waiter was one of the best we've ever had at WDW. This was one of our favorite meals. Enjoy!

Beer is not include but if you are on DDP the soda is but OOP might have to pay for soda. :confused3

There's soda at the Biergarten? I never knew that. :rotfl2:

the HUGE beers are about $10. Takes me two hands to lift the mug. You can get smaller ones but why?

And yes, I had posted you can get your unfinished beers to go. Fairly common request there. Got mine at lunch and still had it for Illuminations.

Wow! I just learned something new today - thanks for sharing. My DH is going to be so happy about that little tidbit :drinking1

Try the Heffeweizen -- it's very good.

I second that!! The beers I believe are $9.50 for the liter and like $7.00 for the smaller size (pint?). We went straight to the liter. The buffet and two liter Heffeweizens make for a very blured EPCOT afternoon! :)

We love the Biergarten. A must for the family every time we go!

Thanks so much. I love the dis boards! I can't wait to have a dinner there and a nice brewski. I'm going in August so I might need to have 10!!!!:rotfl2: :cool1:

I'll cast my vote for Spaten Optimator. If you like rich, dark beer, you can't miss this one! It is wonderful!!!!!

Huge beer fan and trying Biergarten for the first time this summer! I cannot wait! I will have to look up the menu for the beer selection, but if someone knows it, can you share here? I am hoping to get beers that I don't normal have available.....i.e. I do like the Spaten Optimator, but that is something I can have on a regular basis.

Not only is it good, but you can imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger saying it.

After a couple of liters you can HEAR Arnold Schwarzenegger saying it.

i just so happened to keep my alcohol menu from Biergarten as a souvenir:

the options which are 1/2 liter @ $7.50 and liter $10.00 include the following:

Beck's Regular - a German Pilsner (my dh compared it to Budwieser)
Franziskaner Hefe Weisse - top-fermented wheat beer brewed in strict adherence to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516.
Beck's Dark - bottom-fermented lager with dark copper color from a unique roasting of barley malt
Spaten Optimator - the classic German dark beer, bottom fermented "doppel bock" full bodied with a deep dark color and rich roasted malt flavor.

if you can't choose right away - try the German Beer flight and have all four beers of 6 oz each for $10.00 and THEN have the liter.:drinking1

Thank you for posting this! It seems like a no brainer to get the liter - look at the cost savings and there is no such thing as too much beer.:drinking1

I think I'd go with the Hefe - hmm, maybe I need to practice before my vaca in order to have it just right when I get to EPCOT.

What a phenominal idea!!! Kind of like the appetizer before the main course! I love it!!

Funny thing....when they asked me what size, I hesitated. The waitress then said "For only a few dollars more, you get so much more beer." Sold! What a sales-lady!

We saw tons of people with the liter and had drunk about 1/8 of it. Especially the dark. I like mine dark. the darker the better.
