Question about base tickets vs Park Hoppers

Trying to get in on the 4/3 deal today. Never been to DW!

I know that regular tickets are only good for 1 park per day. Don't really want the extra expense of Park Hoppers as I don't think we'd be able to take advantage of them!

BUT, if we have the 7 day regular tickets that come with the package, could we use them to go to 2 parks on the same day, knowing that the 2nd park on the same day is using up 1 of the 7 days on the ticket?

Also, is there any other advantage to the Park Hopper's other than being able to go to multiple parks in one day?

My understanding is.....one park per day without hoppers. You can enter, leave, & re-enter that SAME park through out the day but ONLY that park. No, you can not enter another park the same day and use it as another day off the pass. I think your ticket will be rejected if you try to use it at another park same day.

Dis'ers, please correct me if I'm wrong.:confused3

We ALWAYS buy hoppers because at some point during the day, we end up at Magic Kingdom.

Thanks! I think you're probably right. Otherwise, people wouldn't buy Hoppers since it's cheaper to add days to base tickets.

What the second poster said is exactly right. You can only use 1 ticket per day. If you are there a full 7 days, and during a non-peak time, you can probably do without the hoppers.

That being said, we went during Spring Break last year, with only 6 days in the park (well, technically 5 "full" days) and really took advantage of park hoppers. In part because we planned our trip in under 40 days, and needed the hoppers to get to many of our dining reservations that were in theme parks on days we didn't go there. Plus, it was nice to spend only half a day at AK, and then go that evening for dinner in Epcot.

if you are iffy on the park hoppers, just buy your base tix now and when you get there, if you see the need for the hopper option, you can add it at any time by just going to any ticket window or the front desk at your hotel. the last time we went in March was the first time we did not have the hopper option and we really did not like it. we prefer the freedom that comes with being able to go where we want when we want, especially since we like to dine all over......
