Question about banking and borrowing

...I'm a little confused about banking and borrowing..

Lets say I have 100 points,

I bank my 100 points I get this august (use year august 07-08)

Than in January I book a trip for December 08

I am booking that trip in my August UY 07-08 but the trip itself is in the August UY 08-09..

For my december trip can I borrow points from the next year (09) or can I not because I not booking it in the 08 use year.. (I would be booking in 07 but staying in 08)

Does that make sense??

If in August of 2007 you bank all of your Aug 2007 points they go into your Aug 2008 U/Y .When you call in January of 2008 to make a Dec 2008 ressie you would be using your banked points first then current points and then if need be borrow any of your Aug 2009 points to complete the reservation.

I wasn't sure if I could use the Aug 2009 points yet or if I would have to wait untill it was at least Aug 08 before borrowing them

Points are always based on the date of the stay, not the date you make the reservation.
