Question about availability under 7 months

Hi all, does anyone have any insight as to how difficult it is to secure a 2 bedroom villa under the 7 month window in September?

Specifically, we can't book until April, so we're talking like 5 months out.

My instinct tells me that some resorts like OKW and SSR would have availability, but what about others? Would AKV or somewhere else likely have availability as well?

Some of that depends on when you are booking in Seotember but it is a slower month to book up. I would expect labor day weekend and the last week during food and wine to book up fast. As you get toward trips that include food and wine festival time there will likely be no availability at Epcot resorts. And of course AK concierge and well as standard at BLT and BWV will likely be gone by 7 months. You will just have to see what is there but you have a much better possibility of having things open in September then you would in October.

You will most likely have a good variety to choose from as long as your dates are before the Food and Wine Festival start.

Curious as to why you can't book until April? You can book in February and cancel or adjust as need be later

Thanks for the input. We usually go during the few weeks after Labor Day so before F&W.

It is a contractual issue based on when we will be able to finalize everything. Minor inconvenience I suppose. Just the way things work sometimes

We decided a few DAYS before Labor Day to go down for a quick trip - long weekend get away. We got a 1 bedroom at SSR and were right next to the Paddock Pool. It was our 1st stay there and we loved it!

We went Sept 8-18 booked less than 7 months out and got both BLT standard and AKV value.

Good to know! That doesn't totally surprise me...from the chatter I've read, SSR and OKW usually are the best bets to have last-minute availability...

We booked in last month (sept) for a Jan trip and got AKV-K 1- savanna view and 1- standard view.

No we wanted to. We usually plan a split stay to coincide with parks. So 5 days at AKV and we did Ak twice, BB, Epcot and DTD.

Once we switched to BLT we did MK, Epcot, DHS.

Yes we loved it. The location of BLT cannot be beat but we felt the pool area at AKL is far better. I think the pool at BLT is a let down.

Jambo. We got a value 1 bedroom. We originally had only 3 nights but when 2 more became available we took it as a sign

I'm still learning about DVC. Why can't you book until April? I thought you could book 7 months out and hat would be February n this case.
