Yes, as long as there is availability under the discount for the resort/room type you have booked (the discount will apply to the room portion only). Sometimes, though, you have to be flexible with your resort/room type as having a reservation already in place does not guarantee a discount can be applied.

Thanks! I was afraid you have to cancel and rebook since I heard some RO discounts requires you to do so due to them being in different systems

Going from a room only reservation to a package or vice versa is when the cancel/rebook comes into play.

Nothing to do with discounts in general. You can put a room only discount onto a package reservation, no problem.
