Hello everyone. I just had a question about the AP Holder room discounts. I've noticed a lot of talk on the boards about getting PIN codes for room discounts (like 40% off a value, moderate, etc.)

However, I was just wondering if as an AP Holder, if you automatically receive a room discount. Say I wanted to book a vacation for this summer-- If I had an Annual Pass, do I automatically get a certain percentage off a room? Or do you have to have a PIN, which not everyone gets?

Just give some me some information overall on the room discounts associated with getting an Annual Pass. If you have an AP, do you feel it was worth the cost?

Thanks for your help everyone!

As an AP, WDW will periodically set a limited number of rooms aside that may be made available at select WDW resort hotels and select DVC resorts at discounted rates for annual passholders. You will need to check online at the disneyworld website under the AP section or you can call disney to see if there are any AP rates available for the time you go. Be warned, there are no guarantees that WDW will have AP rooms available but it has been our experience that rooms for value-deluxe and dvc have been available whenever we have called. It is the luck of the draw and how the crowds are. My DW subscribes the DIS threads for whatever month we are looking to go to WDW and it seems that the DIS is the best source for getting AP rates early. Mousesavers.com does have a historical trend of when AP rates are released and history proves to be pretty close with the info on mousesavers.

Hope this helps. :goodvibes
