I think this is in the right place since it deos have to do with the addition of the dining plan to APs, but if its not please move it, and my apologies for any inconvenience!

Here is my question(s): My family and I were annual passholders last year. We skipped a year and are going to WDW again this Dec. and at the end of the trip, me and dh were going to buy APs again. I just read that now AP holders can add the dining plan. Last year you couldn't do that with APs, you couldn't get the dining plan, only the DDE card (now called something else).

We have a MYW package booked for this Dec. Would it be better for us to get the APs now and get the AP holder rate with the dining plan added, or just wait until the end of the trip to get the APs, because there really isnt' that much of a difference?

We got our value rooms for 69.00 a night, and I am not sure what the current AP rate would be for a value resort. I am also not sure we could at this late date even change our ressie and/or get a an AP room rate.

Does it make any sense to get the APs now and change the reservation? Help me think this one out please!

thanks!

I would keep the package and then upgrade the tickets to AP's while you are there. Then you have the best of both worlds.
