Question about AP activation

I am new to this site, and I have loved reading all the post. But I have so much info rolling around in my head now I am confused. My family and I are planning a trip the first of March and will be staying at the Beach Club. THanks to all the wonderful info located here, we were able to get a room at an AP rate. Now, my delimma. We will be arriving around 6 pm and instead of taking the time to get an AP at the airport, I would like to head on to the resort and start the Disney magic! Does anyone know if the Beach Club will accept my voucher for check in or do I have to have the actual pass in hand when I check in. One person at CRO said I need actual pass, and another said I could validate at the Beach Club. Thanks for your help!

If you have a voucher, you can not activate it at the airport, nor can you activate at your hotel. The hotel may accept the voucher as proof of AP for the room rate...if not, you can activate it at any theme park OR Downtown Disney Guest Services.

If they do say you need your pass activated you can easily get it activated at the International Gateway entrance to Epcot which is really close to the Beach Club...I just stayed at CBR and they did not ask to see my AP, but I know that it does vary.

Can I jump in here with a question? I have a very similar situation...Can I activate at the TTC? We are staying at Poly and we could just hop over there and activate if needed. Does the TTC activate AP's?

If you do indeed have to activate before checking in to get the AP rate, since you're staying at the BC, you are only a short walk from the lobby to guest services at International Gateway - EPCOT (5 -10 mins). That's what I would suggest if there are any problems.

Thank you all for your help. I feel confident now in going to the hotel with just my voucher. It is good to know I can get it activated at the International Gateway, if they do require that.

Can I activate at the TTC?

We activated our AP's at the TTC last month. No problem.
