Question about AoA and adjoining rooms

Hi everyone! We have a package booked at AoA in a LM room in June. A friend of mine who lives in Florida just decided to book a room only reservation there as well. We would like to request adjoining rooms. (I realize this is only a request and not guaranteed.) My question is this, I have my Disney reservation #, but she booked through hotels.com so her reservation # is different than mine (all numeric and longer) so I suspect that is the hotels.com reservation # and not the Disney #. How do we go about getting her Disney reservation # so we can request the adjoining rooms? Does she have to call hotels.com to get it? TIA.

Do you mean adjoining or connecting? If you want rooms with the inside door between them you need to request connecting rooms. Adjoining rooms to Disney are rooms near each other.

I think you should call and have the request noted on your reservation. Make it your only request. And then both of you should check in at the resort as early as possible in the day. That way if your rooms don't connect or adjoin you can have them check for a set that does.

Thanks for the info. I would prefer connecting (yes that's what I meant) but adjoining would be o.k. too.

If you booked a package then your reservation number includes letters and numbers. If she booked a room-only reservation then her number will be all numbers, 12-digits long.

You both need to call and have the reservations linked and your room preference noted. You will also do the same when you do the on-line check-in

Use the term "traveling together" when you call. Each ask for connecting if available but adjoining will be fine.

And, as a PP mentioned, if you also ask for "corner room next to the elevator, on the second floor not near the ice machine but with a perfect view of the lake" your chances go down quite easily.
