I have my late Father's Olympus OM-1. I'm sure a lot of you photo buffs know what a great camera this was. My Father absolutely loved it and took it with him everywhere. Unfortunately, this camera was "damaged beyond repair" due to flooding in Hurricane Andrew in 1993. After my Father died, I was suprised that he still had it, and I kept it as a keepsake. I tried to have it fixed to no avail. From what I've heard from a few different places, the insides are "unrepairable". So, I have this camera, and while I really don't want to junk it or anything, there is no real reason to hang on to it.
So my question is: How hard is it to remove a pentaprism from one of these things? I thought maybe I'd just keep that and keep it in my camera bag.
Anyone know?
