For those of you who had an at home reception after your Disney wedding, did you invite those guests that were able to come to your wedding at Disney in addition to the ones who were unable to come? Just wondering.
Also, how did you word your invitations for the second reception? :confused3 Thanks!! :sunny:

We will be having our at home reception after we get back.

I thought and thought about how to word our reception invitations- and finally settled on this.

We're having at at home reception a couple weeks after we get back. We're inviting everyone who is going to WDW because it's mainly our immediate family.

Our wording is similar to Maggimus. You can also check out verseit.com They have some great ideas for post-wedding receptions.

We are having 2 at home receptions. For the first one, in my hometown in NJ, we will only invite people who were not able to make it to Disney or who were not invited to Disney. This will just be my not immediate family, parents' friends, and my friends growing up. My parents are having it at this lovely reception facility that's quite pricey (you know all about NJ prices!). We have 38 people in our immediate family, so we literally cannot afford to invite them again.

Then a few months after, we are having another home reception at DF's parents' lake house in our college town. DF's parents are choosing to invite everyone on their side that was at the wedding, people who were not invited/ couldn't attend the Disney wedding, and our college friends.

Either way works for me. I guess it just depends on how much money and/ or space you have :)

I am having a home reception once we get back. I am planning on sending out separate invites for that party. Some people who got invited to the Florida wedding we are leaving out such as parents friends and distant relatives we know will not attend.

The working on my invites goes something like this:

Please join us to celebrate the of marriage
of
Daniella & Philip
who were wed on
March 18, 2007
at World Disney World, Florida
on
the fifth of May,
two thousand and seven
at two O'clock in the afternoon.....etc[/LEFT]
