Question about alterations and bustle

How much should estimate for an alterations budget?

Since we are having a ceremony, then doing pics at the resorts but NO reception do I need a bustle?

How hard will it be to bustle and unbustle for pics? It does have a long train it is davids Bridal style

I haven't had to have alterations yet, but I budgeted $200. Really it depends on how much you need done.

As far as bustles go, it depends on what kind of bustle you need. Generally the longer the train, the more points in you need in your bustle. I would estimate about $75 for the bustle. That being said, I am from the midwest and services out here are usually more affordable than on the east or west coast.

Do you think I neeed a bustle if I am not having a reception? I am trying to decide how hard it will be to get around for pictures without it bustled. But I am also thinking it might be hard to buslte/unbustle at all pic locations too. I am outta my league here! Someone school me please!

Are you going to want to worry about adjusting your train for every picture? Or having someone else adjust it for every picture? If you don't want to worry about that, then I'd get a bustle.

I don't know what the costs would be in the US so I don't know if my input will help as such, but my wife has a David Bridal dress that we had shipped to the UK. She's had the length altered, the zipper taken out and a corset back put in and a bustle added for £100 ($150).

In your situation, I think a bustle is something that might be nice, but if budget is tight, I wouldn't worry about it.
