Question about Alamo's prepay option

I booked a car for our upcoming trip and used the prepay option.

I was wondering, if a better deal comes up between now and our trip, can I get the better deal?

Does Alamo allow that?

How would I take advantage of the better option? Can you call them and have them refund the difference or would I have to cancel one reservation and then set up a new one?

Anyone know how that works?

I believe there is a cancellation penalty for prepays. It should explain all the ins and outs on their website.
