Question about AK rope drop and DiVine.

So, one of the things I'd like to catch this trip, because my friend has never seen her, is DiVine. I looked at the WDW Entertainment site and it shows one of her times on Saturday, as 7:45 am.

Are they still doing the rope drop thing at AK where they hold you somewhere after going through the turnstiles? Of all the times I've been to AK, I have never experienced opening this way. I've only been able to walk straight to wherever I've wanted to go. (Not fond of this, and I understand all the parks are doing it this way now?)

So, what's the deal, and how exactly would I get to see DiVine at 7:45 if open is at 8am on Saturday? My plan was originally to see her later in the day, but it seems they've changed the times since I made my original plans. For my first ride, I'd like to head straight to KS, but if I could see her first at 7:45, that'd be swell.

2. They have made changes, one way, then another, over the years.
3. Not anymore.

6. Likely she will be inside the gates in the Oasis so you'd pass her on your way to the Rope Drop holding area, if you arrive after 7:45AM.
7. That happens very frequently. They change from the first-posted times every single month, all year long. You're just can't be sure on which days.
8. That would be after they "drop the rope" at the holding area, near Tree of Life.

4. Sorry, not fond of being held all in one place together in a pack of people. Lol
5. I liked it better when they let you in and you got to go wherever you liked. I don't like being in crowds. I have anxiety and have had panic attacks in the past.

4. I agree (your first statement's weren't clear to me.)
5. While it's not a panic attack that I experience, I don't like the "mob."

9. 7:45-ish.
10. 7:30 would not be too early.

Don't go with the mob, spend your time looking at DeVine, plus all the animal exhibits in the area. There were CMs out to talk to, with show and tell animals or pieces of them, and they seemed to like when I stopped to talk to them as everyone was rushing by to join the mob.

After going through the tapstiles go to the "right path" of The Oasis.

Just past ECV/Wheelchair rental look to your right-there is a walkway there that leads to a backsatge gate.

DiVine will "most likely" be performing in that area.
