Question about ADR

We are going for free dining in September and another family is joining us. There isn't a problem to make ADRs for the whole group and then let them know it is two separate checks upon arrival, right?

Also, that will put us over 6 people so every meal will have 18% gratuity included, right?

No, it will not be a problem and yes you will have to pay the 18% automatic tip for groups of 6 or more.
