Question about ADR

I am planning (and hoping) to make reservations at a DVC resort very soon (I'm still trying to make my 6 posts so I can receive PM's) I am planning to add the DDP. So my question is can I start making ADR now even before I have officially signed up for the DDP? Or do I have to wait until my lodging/DDP reservation is made?

If you are within the 180-day point, then you can start making dining reservations now. Do you have your resort reservation number? The dining people will ask for that.

I have not made any reservations yet, so it sounds like until I do I can't make any advanced dining reservations using the DDP.

Anyone can make ADRs at 180 days - offsite guests or day guests won't have reservation numbers. Go ahead and call and just say you don't have hotel information yet.

It sounds like you are planning on renting points - and I get a September date...you do know that the dining plan will not be free (should free dining be offered) on DVC point rentals?

Thank you for the information. I can now start making dinner reservations, and I know the dining plan is not included - wish it was!
