Question about ADR booking

We are DVC members and typically stay in a villa our entire stay. Next June we have an unusual scenario, as my daughter is participating in "Dance the World" and our trip is broken up: the first night we'll be staying in a DVC resort, the next three nights we'll be staying at POP as part of a special package, and the last four/five nights we'll be staying at a DVC villa. So we will have three separate reservations. Will I be able to book ADRs for my entire trip 180 days out from the my first night's stay?

We have a split stay coming up in December. We were not able to book ADRs for our entire trip at 180 days from our arrival at the first resort. It was 180 days plus length of stay for each resort reservation.

FP+ was different. We were able to book those for the entire stay (with an appropriate number of ticket days linked in MDE) at 60 days from our initial arrival.

I had the same experience as wdwrich for my last reservation (albeit a year ago). I tried both online and calling and the results were the same...I was able to make reservations for 180 days plus the length of the stay at each resort. I had a split stay, so I had to call twice (at the 180-day for each reservation).

I guess I was lucky. Or maybe it was because I did them by phone??

No you can do 180 + length of stay. you used to always be able to do 180 +10 but something has changed recently I don't know if it is the software or that they are following the process but no longer is it 180 +10.

I have a split stay 4 nights, 5 nights then 5 nights and did my dining in three batches no issue.

it USED to be they allowed 180 for split stays from first night

they have closed that loophole and it is now 180 from first night of EACH stay

That's going to make hard to get ADRs even harder to get for those of us with split stays. Pooh.

This is exactly what I have heard, and also my experience. Anyone who has had success by phone likely did it prior to the loophole being closed. It's only been within the last 9 months or so that the change has been made to no longer allow it.

I made some of our ADRs on line and some by phone for our December split stay. The limitation applied regardless, so I made my ADRs in two batches and got everything we wanted including BOG.

Thank you for all the replies. That's quite a bummer. I was really hoping I could make all the reservations at once, as this certainly will be a disadvantage for us since our last 5 nights (and last reservation) fall over a holiday weekend. Oh well... can't get too upset about anything when it comes to Disney planning!
