We own points at BLT. If I don't care about the expiration date of the deed, would it be "better" to buy at SSR or one of the other "cheaper" priced resorts form the Timeshare Store?
If you do not care where the points are, then yes, adding on at SSR is a great move in terms of saving money.
Since you already own at BLT, you have an 11 month window there. SSR would give you an 11 month window there and the opportunity, with both contracts to book at the other resorts at 7 months.

if adding on through a resale, it's generally a good idea to match your UY month and title the contract the same as your BLT contract so that both contracts can be managed under one membership number. (the only exception would be is if you are planning vacations at a different time of year and specifically want a new UY month.)
you probably already know this, but i also wanted to clarify that SSR (or wherever) points will not be good for booking at BLT until the 7 month window.
