Question about Adding-On

Just a question. I'm not adding on just yet, but plan to in the semi-near future. When adding on, do you have to go through the same mound of paperwork, including all the notarized paperwork that you do when making an initial purchase? It' s not a big deal, but I just wondered how that works.

DH and I just added on at VGC from home for the first time. We had a nice stack of paperwork to sign and had to get one page notarized. We did our initial purchase and first add on while at WDW so this was definitely different.

Yep, it's about the same. Kind of like buying the lot next to your house so you can expand your property. Still a new purchase.

Just like the PP's said, the paperwork is about the same. We bought our initial contract and add-on direct thru Disney this past April and May. Both stacks of paperwork were about the same, just a few changes here and there since FL and CA have different requirements. Our VGC also required a notary signature, not sure if that is a VGC thing or because we financed that one (AKV did not require a notary signature and we did not finance that purchase).
