My DH and I have been looking at purchasing a small BWV add-on through a resale. My question is this: Since we already have a master contract and member # (as well as an AKV add-on purchased through Disney), will a resale add-on automatically be put under our master contract or will it be a separate contract (with a separate member #)?? Do we have to request that it be made a sub-contract to our original?

Thanks for any info!

If your resale contract is titled the exact same way, and has the same UY, you can contact Disney and tell them to treat it as an add on contract.

If, the UY is different, then you will have a new member # for that contract.

Yes, we were looking for the same UY anyway (just to keep it simple on my end - I usually do all the booking, banking, etc.). When would we contact Disney (before, during or after the sale is final)??

I have to add, when we did the add-on for AKV through Disney it was so easy, so I guess that spoiled me. I'm just wondering how easy the process is when you buy resale. Is the money saved worth any aggravation? If we were buying a lot of points, resale saves tons of money. With a smaller amount of points it still saves money but how easy is the process?

I think all of the resale brokers can let you know how to go about making sure that Disney has the information they need for your resale contract to be put as an add on.

I have done both, resale and direct, and while both experiences were great, the ease of Disney is worth it if you are not talking about a lot of money, IMO.

When I bought a 50 point contract through the TSS, my closing costs were $322 (the minimum I believe) so that added over $6.00 per point. With Disney, there are no closing costs and you can get the exact # of points you want vs. waiting for the exact same contract.

In addition, if Disney has the UY you want for BWV available, you will your points right away and most likely, even get current UY points. When I added on my BLT points, I had them in my account in 2 hours!!!

:thumbsup2 I think I was looking for validation of my gut instinct. The resale contracts that I've seen for the number of points we're looking for are either not our UY or have been "stripped" until 2011 in some cases! Thanks for the input. I probably should call our guide since we might have to waitlist for points in our UY if they're not available right now. I can always keep an eye on the resales as well.
