Question about activating Cdn tickets when Magic Bands delivered offsite

I originally had a reservation onsite and had my magic bands delivered to my mother in law. Decided to staff offsite. I still have the Magic Bands they sent me.

Question 1: Now that I'm not staying onsite, do I have to give up my magic bands? I.e., will they ask for them back when I show proof of Canadian residency?

Question 2: When I arrive at the park (MK), who do I show my Canadian ID to? I assume there is a ticket booth that I present to, and they either activate my magic bands or give me cards?

Question 3: How long will it take to show my ID at the ticket booth the morning the park opens? I will be at the park about 45 minutes before official opening time. Will this give me enough time to verify Cdn address and queue up for rope drop?

Thanks!

You'll be able to use your magic bands
  1. The magic bands are yours to keep and use.
  2. You can go to any ticket booth or Guest Relations location to show your ID & magic band and have your ticket activated.
  3. 45 minutes will be more than enough time to validate your ticket -- but don't forget to add in the time to get from the parking lot to the front of the park.

If you have the time - we went to guest relations at Disney Springs to show our passports and activate the Magic Bands. We didn't want to run around the parks with our passports.

Thanks. I appreciate the responses. I think we will do just that -- go to Disney Springs the day before to show our passports.

We’ve activated 2 sets of tickets at Disney Springs this trip, and both times we’ve had to wait 45+ minutes to be served... so make sure you budget some time for Guest Services there.

We have another friend flying in tonight... we’ve decided to activate her ticket outside of a park tonight instead of going through that mess at DS again. (We have APs, so parking at a park to do this is not an issue.)

There was a CM outside Guest Services taking names and giving a time to come back. From then it was only 10 minutes seated inside. Luckily there are things to do in DS while you wait for your callback time.

Head to the parking lot for the Lost and Found on the road towards the Poly. You can pop right over to the TTC booth, rarely busy after the morning rush has passed.

Do you know if we have to pay for parking here? I don't want to have to pay full day parking if I'm just picking up tix.
NO, there is free parking (i think 15 minutes which should be plenty of time to do what you want during a non-rush period) Just tell the CM in the booth you're heading to the Lost & Found, go to the far right lane and follow the signs to the Poly and it will be on your right.
