Question about AAA

This may be a dumb question, but I will ask anyway. Do you have to be a memeber of AAA to use them as a travel agent and to get their discounts? I mother thinks that you do not need to be, and I would like to know for sure.

Also, if you do have to be a member, would it be worth it to become a member just to save money on our up comming Disney trip? Or is their another travel agent out there that can save us more money?

I agree, it is worth the discounts. With my past experiences, the travel agency is a little shady, they add in charges for lots of things. The best thing to do is talk with an agent, have them help you book an itenrary, then go home and price it out, see if their rates are competative.

You have to be a member to book a trip with them but not to get a price quote. Call tell them what you want if they have the trip you want for the best price then get a membership it is only like $50 and you save a lot more

AAA travel agents will help anybody, member or not. But to get the AAA discount at WDW, you'll need to join.

How much you save can vary depending on how long you stay, resorts, etc.. Some people have had trouble with agents - others have had really good luck - I figure it's not that expensive for a year's membership - they offer a lot of travel benefits - maybe you'll take one or two little trips during the year - you might not have otherwise. I gave my DD a year's membership to help in planning her Oct. honeymoon - needs to book SOON - from the posts I have seen - savings vary from $200 - 400 per stay - plus you get the special parking privledges, & some other freebies if you book a trip with them.
