Planning on doing the waterpark this day then going to MK for an 8:00 reservation at LTT. How much travel time would you allow to make it there in time? Have never traveled the week between Christmas and New Years. Thanks!!!

We were at MK last year on December 30th! We also ate at LTT. We got to the MK very early because we were afraid of the park closing. Since they show the New Years Eve fireworks at MK on the 30th it was very crowded. I also know that travel to the MK can be very busy on this day. There was a huge line of traffic into the park (even for the buses). How are you getting there? Driving to the TTC or taking a bus?

As evening approached the park got insanely crowded. I'd allow a LOT of travel time and here's hoping there are no park closures at that hour.

The fireworks were awesome though! Hope you have a great time!

That's what I was afraid of.... We will have a car, but was going to rely on Disney transportation

I think the bus is a good idea! I'm assuming that will get you there quicker. You'll still have to sit in some of the same traffic but at least you won't need to get additional transportation from TTC. Have a blast and enjoy :goodvibes

WDW bus from your resort to water park, bus to either Contemporary then walk to MK, or to GF and take the monorail.

Are you staying On-site? TL closes at 5PM so getting from there to your resort and them back to the MK should not be difficult using the bus system. If you are staying off-site as long as you plan to shower and change into clothes for the evening, I can't see how you couldn't get there in 3 hours. I would not leave my car at TL after closing since your options of getting back there several hours after closing are limited.

According to the OP's signature, she's staying at CBR, which means the only closure stage she would have to worry about is stage 4 (which is where no one is let in) and that hasn't happened since April 7, 2009. Someone staying on property can get in up through stage 3.
