Hello I had a question about 1 time use points? If I have 2 different user years (2 different member numbers), am I able to do 1 time use points for each membership number? Being I have 2 would I be able to do a total of 48 points, 24 for each use year?

Just got off the chat with MS. Looks like i found the answer. It is yes you can do one time points for each Membership ID.

OK, I'll add to this thread because I have questions too;
I ran the math on my 2021 trip - 11 month window in about a week. I will be 1 point short assuming the 50% max borrow restriction remains in place (which for the intents of what I am doing I believe it does). Two questions;
  1. Can I buy a single one-time-use point to complete this reservation or is that also restricted?
  2. Is purchasing a one-time-use point refundable? Reason I ask - we may forgo a 2021 Disney trip if travel restrictions are eased. My DS is graduating HS in 2021 and has eyes on a NY or Ireland trip - might do that instead, but need to reserve WDW now.

1) yes, you can buy a single OTUP when you make the reservation. But you'll have to call to do so. Can't buy them online.

2) OTUP are not refundable. They did refund them when the resorts were closed, but that is no longer being allowed. If you cancel, OTUP will remain in your account until the end of the UY, at which point they will expire if not used. You have to call to use them. They do not show up on your Dashboard.

Steve

You can not buy OTU points until the 7 month window so if you are 1 point shy at 11 months, you will have to book one night less and at 7 months add it with the OTU, assuming it is still available.

As already mentioned, once bought they expire at the end of the UY of the trip.
