quesiton about amazon gift card codes

Do they ever expire? I know once I enter the code into my amazon account it will never expire. But I mean the code you get to enter to get the gc.

I'm asking because I often get paid in amazon gcs through surveys, promos etc. and all amazon orders use gc balance first. I'm trying to start saving up now for next christmas but I know there is no way I will have no orders between now and this fall/winter so if I don't have to enter the codes right away, I won't.

Actually you can go ahead and put the GCs in your account. When you get to the order confirmation page on amazon you can change how you are going to pay so it won't take the $ off your gc balance. I've done it lots of times.

Know wait to whole year to use my amazon codes. But I enter them onto the Amazon site just case I delete the email with the code.

I am start saving up for a TV soon and want to use my amazon codes to pay for it.

I don't know the actual or official answer to your question, but I can tell my personal experience. I cashed in a bunch of coins from Coinstar (about $80) and got an amazon gift certificate code to avoid paying the fee. I then lost the receipt with the code on it. About 1 1/2 years later, I found the receipt in an unused wallet, and thought that I was going to be out of luck, but I tried entering it anyway, and it still worked. So there ya go. But I don't know if that applies to ALL gift card codes.
