Ques on Character calls if staying off site

Hi all! I have serached through the boards & not sure this is the right place, but I am staying on site but my brother & his fam of 6 are staying at All Star homes next week at WDW. Is there anyway to request a Character "Welcome to Disney" type call for the kids (5 of them all under 9!! ) using a cell phone # or is it only if you stay on site. thanks very much!! I have been on the DIS borads constatnly since December--you guys are the best-thanks for all the info you have passed on!! Deb

I am pretty sure that you have to be staying onsite to get the character wakeup call.

I believe thats a perk for people staying on property. Have a great trip sounds like a fun group.

The disney call is a perk of the Disney property. the only thing that I could suggest to you is have some one who an impersonate a Disney character and record a call or have them call you that day and play the recorded call.

i know this a bit of work but its worth a try.....before you leave, record several disney wav or mp3 files to your voice mail box. when you are at wdw, set your alarm on your cell phone to ring each morning. when you wake up answer the phone, dial your voice mail and hand the phone to your kids
