Query about Walt's restaurant

Bear in mind this is the trip of the lifetime at the DLH without kids!
We've got HB Premium, so we've booked California Grill, Inventions and the Steakhouse, although if we love California Grill we'll change the 3rd night to that again. We also have lunch on our last day when we're definitely going to Annette's!

Does anyone know what days of the week Walts is open in low season? (Late Jan)

DLPfoodguide says everyday. But it wasn't even every day in July when I went! If my parents do come for the sunday with us (which is sounding likely) then I'm sad my one chance for walts will need to be sacrificed.

If the park closes at 7 can you get a 6.30 reservation?

It is closed Tuesday and Wednesday all the year according to the reservation line.

I just phoned today to make reservations for our Halloween trip only to be told that after August Walts isn't open for dinner any more. Not a huge issue, I swapped a few things around and booked for lunch instead but I wonder why this is?

????? If they aren't opening for dinner, surely they're gonna have to open everyday for lunch service?

Well it is not uncommon for Walt's to close at 3pm and be dark 2 days per week in the off season. They have been running it this way for years.

We had a nice meal there on our last night, a Discoveryland table overlooking Main Street for the parade.

The kids shared the chicken and pasta meal. I had the clam chowder, filet steak and then the cheese cake. Sarah had the cured ham and melon started, followed by Salmon in Portobello Mushrooms, with a cafe gormaund. We had a wonderful bottle of Cote de Rhone to accompany. It was good, but not the best of our stay (that was either the Silver Spur or Steakhouse). Great setting as always.

A lovely way to wrap up our visit (annette's was our last meal). Again, this was about £110.

Be sure to call ahead to avoid disppointment. But yes, for many years, all of the table services have rotated.

Even last week, one table service in each of the lakeside hotels were closed and Fuente del Oro and Hakuna Matata were only open after 5pm, whereas Cowboycookout BBQ was open between 11:30 and 6:30pm.

I was shocked. (BTW - there were far more good than bad things last week, but the restaurant hours, the rubbish shape of the shops and the Hotel New York were the only gripes).

That I can understand, but the day I wanted to book it for is one of the days the Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party is on so it is not as if they are expecting low crowds that day, especially that evening!!

We had a lovely dinner there in April (a week day during low season) so hopefully lunch will be just as nice.

The menus are the same for lunch and dinner. Personally I prefer a big lunch and small or no dinner when at DLP. I find it is a great break to rejuvinate when the crowds are at their peak.

I'm looking at eating dinner at Walts the first time we get there. Which is a tuesday in February, i just wondered will it be open then?. Also the park closes at 6pm, dosn't it?. Whats the latest you can make a reservation for? e.g eating at 5pm?
