Yes yes I know, it's been what... 2 months since I last did one of these? I've been busy, I still am busy but I just got inspired last night I guess! My course is ending next week so I'm hoping to get these written and uploaded within the next few weeks, otherwise before you know it I'm gonna be jetting off for the next trip!!! Enjoy anyway!

Cast:
Me: Sophie (18/19) - 2nd Trip
Scott (30) - 7th Trip, My best friend and housemate
Linda (5?) Lost Count of Trips, Scotts Mum
Graham (5?) Lost Count of Trips, Scotts Dad
We get up and have a huge breakfast in the apartment before driving to Animal Kingdom with the intention of going to EPCOT for the afternoon. The park is scorching hot already when we arrive and we head over to Dinoland. En route we notice that Its Tough to be a Bug is closed due to technical problems. When we arrive at Dinoland, Dinosaur is also closed due to technical problems so we head over to Primeval Whirl instead. This is one of our favourite rides in Animal Kingdom, its just so crazy! After weve ridden, and now Im deaf in one ear from Linda screaming the whole time, we decide that seeing as so many rides are down for technical problems well just head off to EPCOT now.
We arrive at EPCOT around 11.30am and there are huge waits for most rides; Soarin 70mins, Test Track 60 mins etc. We get fastpasses for Soarin and head over to Mission: Space which only has a 20min wait. The ride seems more intense than last year, or maybe weve just forgotten, still wonderful and a park favourite though. Head to Test Track where go through as single riders to reduce the wait time, we all end up going out in the same batch of cars anyway.
Test Track
Were all feeling hungry by now so we decide to hit the Electric Umbrella for lunch, theres a 30 minute queue here too! Me and Linda leave the guys in the queue and go and stalk the seating area looking for tables. We grab one quite quickly and Linda nips back to inform the boys where we are. When they eventually get served and find us, me and Scott have burgers, Linda the chicken Caesar salad with cheesecake for dessert and Im missing notes on what Graham had. Theres no queue for Spaceship Earth when were done eating so we head over there for a quick ride before going on to World Showcase. Mexico is first and we get the customary picture taken in silly sombreros. Next is Norway and Maelstrom considering Im petrified of the drop in POTC, this is a big deal for me and Im completely freaked by the time Im on the ride. Luckily its not as bad as Im expecting and kinda fun!

By now its time for our Soarin fastpass so we head to The Land pavilion. Scott is scared of heights so hes pretty nervous about this one. Graham and Linda have already ridden last week so they reassure him that hell be fine. The ride is fantastic; we love it and cant wait to do it again! Linda and Graham decide that they want to head over to the Magic Kingdom now so we say goodbye, well see them again back at Summer Bay tonight. Im intrigued by Livin with the Land but the queues are long so we decide to fastpass it and grab a snack. We choose a slice of chocolate mousse cake at the Land bakery wow, this stuff is amazing! We nip over to Journey into Imagination with Figment to fill time, Ive not met Figment before and think hes very cute but the ride is a bit nothing. We walk back to the Land through Imageworks but a lot of stuff is broken or very busy so we dont stop. When we arrive at Livin with the Land we walk straight on, I actually find it very enjoyable and relaxing to look at all the unusual plant life and I learned how a few commoner species are grown. One of the best plants we saw were some pumpkins being grown in the shape of Mickey head for Halloween!
Mousse Cake at The Land
Weve just missed Ellen so we decide to wait it out in MouseGears. Im hungry again (what is wrong with me today???) so I buy a bar of Mickey chocolate. Its somewhat pricey at $1.25 for the bar but it is very very nice! We get back to Ellen in good time and enjoy sitting in the shade in the first room before doing the ride. Its one of my favourites as a physics/geology student.
We decide to head on back to World Showcase to ride El Rio Del Tiempo and Maelstrom - I want to ride the latter again so Ill be able to enjoy it properly. The Food & Wine festival has just started so we stroll slowly through World Showcase taking in the buildings, shops and festival stalls. We think about trying the Australian grilled beef skewers but, being unadventurous eaters, opt for the Liberty Inn Café instead. I find that they will make plain double burgers and get one of those whilst Scott opts for the chicken fingers. We go over to the American Adventure which I find quite interesting; my mind is consumed throughout by images of the backlash if we Brits ever did something like that!
We carry on strolling through World Showcase, stopping in France to visit the bakery. I choose the chocolate mousse (which is so rich I take most of it back to the apartment), Scott opts for the plain cheesecake (which from the bite I had was also very nice if a little bland for me.) We find a little table and chairs outside the bakery near some lovely stained glass and sit there to eat our desserts. Once we cant eat anymore we find a good spot on the wall overlooking the lake 15 minutes before Illuminations is about to start. This is my favourite of the Disney night time entertainment and its just as magical as I remember. I film the show but realise that the globe is hidden by an island once it reaches the centre so Ill have to film it again another night. We walk back through the UK and Canada pavilions, allowing the hoards to storm past us as were in no rush. Were parked close to the entrance so we just walk back to the car and drive straight home.
Stained glass in France, the Bakery in France, Scott's cheesecake, my mousse.
Back at Summer Bay we find Family Guy on TV and slouch on the sofas to watch. Linda and Graham show up totally knackered from the Magic Kingdom and we all end up watching Men in Black on TV before going to bed!
