Queen, Jasmine and a Disney Virgin...will he love it like we do?

Wow, how did I miss 3 updates?!?! :rotfl2: Great updates Queen!!

Looks like a great first couple of days. The kids look so happy!! The best feeling, isn't it!! :goodvibes

Ooh, can't wait to ride SM this trip. I've missed it! Looking forward to those new interactive games ;)

Mmmm...Plaza, haven't tried that one yet :rolleyes1

Must be something about the boys and their mickey waffles, my DS will eat nothing else for breakfast while at WDW :rotfl:

me too...I love ghost stories, and for that reason I've always loved the theming in ToT and the ride too  my DH not so much?!

I've been thinking about you and Lisa each time I watch the Olympics, my Canadian friends. Especially thinking of you everytime I see someone wearing the Canada mittens, they are really cute!! :cloud9:

popcorn:: for more updates! :) shhh...back to work for me!

Hey girl, I've missed you. I figured you must have been busy with work and the kiddies. I love those mittens too, we have 2 pairs each!! Would you like a pair or two? Let me know....I work one block from The Bay (where they are sold) and can pick them up and send them....

Rockin' updates. Oh that food (errrr, desserts) looked good.

Thanks!! They were scrumptious...delectable.....delicious....sinful....;)

After we rode ToT we headed over to RnRC...on the way the skies opened so no pictures outside the ride on this particular day. The standby line was showing a 30 minutes wait so we jumped in line. It ended up being exactly 30 minutes. Aladdin deemed this his favorite ride so far! I bought us 2 umbrellas and Jasmine a poncho in the gift shop as it was still raining pretty good when we left. The standby line was now showing a 10 minutes wait so I told the kids to go and ride again, we were here and it was raining so they might as well take advantage of the short wait time. I hung out outside with my new umbrella, other than the rain, it was actually quite mild so I enjoyed just being.
118-1.jpg

Once the kids had ridden for the second time, we decided we would walk to the front of the park and see what the wait time was for TSM...40 minutes...so we decided what the heck, it was still raining so it would at least keep up out of the rain. I thought this was a good time to take some pictures of the stand by line....they think of everything. You really feel like a toy and it sure brings back memories of being a kid....barrel of monkey's anyone?
120-1.jpg

Another couple of shots...this partiular toy I remember from the doctor's office when I was little...the kids gave me the eye roll here:confused3
121-1.jpg

Mr. Potato head was hilarious, I never realized he was interactive until this trip....it was so fun watching the little ones talk to him like he was a real person....priceless.
122-1.jpg

We were held up for a few minutes here so I decided to grab a picture of the kids with him....I have to say at this point there was the worst behaved little girl behind us and her parents did nothing.:headache: The dad picked her up because she kept taking her shoes off and her grandma said something to her and she kicked her in the face...the dad and mom did or said nothing. Jas and Aladdin's mouth's were hanging open. It was funny to listen to them about how they would have handled the situation...I was actually impressed with both of them. Oh well, everyone parents in their own special way I guess:confused3
123-1.jpg

Now I have a confession to make. I make index cards that I lamenate for each day of our trip with all the particulars of the day on it...park hours, parade times, and ADR times and numbers. I went into the safe in the morning, got the card out for this day, put it in the backpack and off we went. Now, in my head, we were eating at 50's Prime Time Cafe at 220pm. After we rode TSM, the kids thought they could ride Star Tours before our lunch so off we went. I can't do this ride without feeling nauceous after so I told them I was going to watch the show they have outside. Unfortunately, it was still raining so no show. I just grabbed a seat, my umbrella and waited.
We finally arrived at 50's about 10 minutes before our ADR time, so Jasmine went in to tell them we were there. When she came out she said they didn't have your name mom. I couldn't believe it. She said, no worries though, the man said they have room. I was stunned, in 12 years of coming to the World I have never been able to walk in to that restaurant and get a table. We decided we would wait in the lounge.

We didn't wait even 5 minutes to be called in to eat. Here's Jasmine trying to be on her best behavior...she usually gets in trouble here for not eating her veggies....I was interested to see what she ordered today cause we had a cracker jack of a server. Her name was Sabrina and she was right in character.
127-1.jpg

She told Aladdin to set the table and he took his job very seriously, it was quite funny. He was nervous, he reminded me of my nieces when we go, they do their best to be perfect when we're there.
131-1.jpg

We were all starving, must have been the rain. I wanted comfort food in the worst way so I ordered the onion rings as an appetizer for all of us to share. They were so good!
132-1.jpg

I ordered the chicken pot pie, but I didn't love it. I have to say I make one that I love and this one all I could taste was flour in the sauce. Oh well, I finished the onion rings instead.
133-1.jpg

Aladdin and Jasmine both ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and they both loved it. They also shared a chocolate milkshake that they both said was delicious. I was yelled at a total of three times during the meal...all for elbows on the table...good thing I never ended up in the corner!
134-1.jpg

I decided that I would check out the desserts mostly because I love the viewmaster. Too full though so we paid the bill and were on our way
135-1.jpg

By the time we left, Block Party Bash was going to start so we noticed some spaces so we crossed the road to watch. In all of our last few trips we are always back at the hotel in the afternoon so we've never seen it. We loved it. We were all dancing and singing, it was a blast.

Once the Bash passed by we decided we would head back to the hotel for the evening. We had a wonderful day at DHS!!

Next update we will be at AK......

Wow, short lines at DHS :thumbsup2 The cold and rain must have scared everyone away! Isn't the Block Party Bash fun? I love how they get the kids involved and bring them out to dance in the street :)

Too funny that this post involved eating at 50's Prime Time, we had dinner with friends tonight and we were just talking about that restaurant and laughing whenever any of us put our elbows on the table!

Made my way over here after seeing you post on my TR. So far, however, I've only read the first post. I'll catch up tomorrow!! Loved your first post though :thumbsup2

Glad you had such a great day at DHS :thumbsup2

I love the pic of you with the Viewmaster! It's so cute! I had one as a kid and I loved that thing!

I woke up in the middle of the night last night and forgot to tell everyone that we weren't even supposed to have been at 50's that day....that's why the man at the front couldn't find our Adr'S we were supposed to have been at Sci fI:confused3 I couldn't believe I did that:headache: Must be loosing my mind as I get older:eek:

I think it's part of why I love it so much, it reminds me of our kitchen when I was a kid....I didn't want dessert either, just wanted that memory!!!

, for a great day at DHS, can't wait to see what adventures were had at AK popcorn::

Hi Queen! All caught up again! Looks like the crowds were really in your favor. Sorry you had to endure the rain but a rainy day at Disney is better than any day at work. The kids still look really happy to be at WDW. Can't wait to read more!:goodvibes

Oh my goodness how I've enjoyed reading your trip report! I'm home with a sick princess  today and no one to stop me from reading the disboards...:yay:

You have done an amazing job!!!:cheer2: Can't wait to read more...:goodvibes I'm getting so excited about our suprise trip next month. :woohoo: The girls have NO idea where we are really going for spring break...can't wait to reveal the truth :dance3:

I'm so on the fence about doing the 50's prime time. I think my kids might be freaked out. However, I would love to work there one day. I think it would be hoot.

I see Thomas is sporting shorts even though it's raining and cold. Very Canadian of him.

I have some great memories from 50s Primetime Cafe I am glad you enjoyed it!

Can't wait for the next update popcorn::

I love 50's i was born in the 60's so it reminds me of my mom's kitchen:lovestruc

AK was the best.....stay tuned....we had so much fun!!!

They were at the beginning of the week, but they did increase as the week went on, but still manageable. I agree 150%, I'll take rain anyday over work. The kids had a great attitude....they kept saying "we're in Disney, it's all good"

Will try and get another update done tomorrow...:woohoo:

I hope your little darling is feeling better:hug: I love a day at home where there is no limit to reading the disboards:rolleyes1

Thank you for your wonderful comments, I have enjoyed writing it...keeps the magic alive that little bit longer:banana:

Surprise trip? Tell me more, I love surprise trips...when are you going, where are you staying?? Do you have a report going? I'm so excited for you all!!!:cloud9:

I'm so on the fence about doing the 50's prime time. I think my kids might be freaked out. However, I would love to work there one day. I think it would be hoot.

I see Thomas is sporting shorts even though it's raining and cold. Very Canadian of him.

Peg's oldest is freaked out at 50's, to the point I think the kids gonna have a stroke! She gets herself so worked up about these things....Mini Montana, couldn't care less. They are like night and day! BTW, Peg sent me an email yesterday from the cruise and Snow White has been teary since they set sail (remember she read Titanic). I replied with don't worry about icebergs you're in the Caribbean...sharks...that's what she should fear!!! She'll love me for that one!!!

Yes, he took 4 pairs and wore them all!! Jasmine wore all 3 that she took....she just wore a hoodie with her shorts.....People knew we were Canadian...and we knew the locals...they had on hats, mitts and parkas:lmao:

I have some great memories from 50s Primetime Cafe I am glad you enjoyed it!

Can't wait for the next update popcorn::

The first time we went Jasmine was 8 and the waitress was exceptional. The only time she came out of character was to lean in to whisper in my ear "can I joke with the little one" I replied with absolutely.....Jasmine loved her....until she wouldn't give her dessert because she didn't finish her milkshake:lmao:

I am loving yor report- 50's is on our list too so I really can't wait to see if we get to be part of the antics :goodvibes

Aww that's cute

The last time we went was over our Girls Only Christmas Trip and my grandma refused to eat her greens...

I do sort of want to go back there on our next trip just to watch her get in trouble again :rotfl:

Thank you:hug: I hope you do too, it's so much fun!!!

I am going to try and get a post done here tonight, but I have to warn you, Canada is playing Switzerland in hockey tonight, so I hope I can do both....I have a slight addiction to the Olympics...especially when hockey is on:rolleyes1

There is something fun about an adult getting into trouble isn't there....the kids seemed to really enjoy the fact that I kept getting yelled at:confused3

I found out I can't watch the Olympics and do a post....I said I was done with DHS in my last post and I wasn't. Sorry about that.....mutli tasking appears to be a challenge for me right now.

Boo....I was so disappointed...this guys head, yup that one right there, was one of those people that has no tact or manners, figures if he wanted to be at the front to see, he was gonna be at the front to see. When you step in front of little ones, it angers me beyond belief....ok, thanks for letting me vent

Green Army Men...I have to say these guys crack me up! They are quick witted and just plain funny....they should have a spin off series of their own:rolleyes1
146-1.jpg

We stood around for a few minutes after the Party trying to decide to stay a little longer or to head back. I really wasn't in the mood to go back, I wanted to take every moment I could in....so I begged them to see Beauty and the Beast with me....don't let those smiles fool you, they were not happy...they would have much rather been on ToT or RnRC...but they humored me because this is my favorite movie, my favorite princess!!!

The kids went on their two favorite rides after and I just hung out on a bench waiting for them and enjoying watching everyone bustle around. I have to tell you....at 430pm WDW does not seem like the happiest place on earth. I feel so bad for the little ones who are crying I'm sure because they are in desperate need of a nap...and I do feel bad for the parents because they're probably trying to get every minute in to make the most of the trip. Double edged sword.

As we wandered back down the street, we decided we had never seen the American Idol Experience so we headed to the 6pm show. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this. The talent is so good! We had no other plans so we decided we would hang around for the finale show at 7pm and I have to say I am so glad we did....the lady that won the day was beyond amazing. Her little girl was cheering her on and she was adorable. She sang Alone by Heart and it literally sent chills up my spine. Hands down, I was voting for her.....so did Aladdin and Jasmine....and she won. All I could think is...here's this mom, spending a day at WDW with her family, and now she just won the day!!! Pure magic.

With that, we headed to the bus back to the resort. We decided on the way that we would just eat at the food court in the hotel. I was shocked at how packed it was at 830 at night....this was how it would be for the rest of our vacation....the Brazilian Tour Groups were everywhere!!!

Up next....AK!!!!
