Maybe Catherine isn’t going because Meghan will be there. They are not exactly on the best of terms.
Neither one is there, according to the BBC

Good thing I didn't say 'Kick the Harry/Meghan'And I see you were ready to pounce…
It’s the truth, sorry.
Not going to call out the person who said the Queen’s going to “kick the bucket”?![]()
Why not CBC for the Canadian perspective?
King Charles I and II would probably disagree with you
They probably did it because yesterdays meeting with the Privy Council did get cancelled and they had already said on doctors' orders absolute rest needed after meeting Boris and Liz.
Yes, I got that.No reason, just what I put on.
I just meant because it’s been Queen Elizabeth for long.
It really wouldn't matter what she chose to do, she will be judged anyway. Some will judge her for staying with the kids. Others would hae judged her if they'd taken the kids. She can't win.It is always difficult in these cases what to do with young children. You want them to say goodbye, but also, a dying grandparent is not something you should see at that age.
But Catherine picked the children up herself in the car. It gives me hope that the Queen won't kick the bucket tonight.
It really is something. Hard to imagine a world without her. Here's a fascinating bit of information - Queen Elizabeth has reigned for over a quarter of the amount of time that the United States has been a country.

My money says she's gone already. They know how to handle these things.I feel bad for the family. Thanks to the era of 24/7 newscycle, it is a public death watch.

What does that have to do with this?I think some of y'all should go watch the Diana documentary, "The Princess".

Just sayin'.

Can we please keep this thread focused on Her Majesty and not bring up any thing from the past that really doesn't matter right now.I think some of y'all should go watch the Diana documentary, "The Princess".

When my mom passed at home, it was me, my sister, my husband, my dad, my mom’s best friend, and my 2 sons (daughters were at dance class or else they would’ve been there, another daughter was away at college). Oh, and her nurse of 1 week who we hired at the last minute who ended up staying as my dad’s caregiver (Alzheimer’s), it took us a year to finally figure out the “nurse” was crazy. Good times. My mom passed recently. The grand kids were not there when she passed, let alone their spouses. Actually, it was just her children at the time. Our spouses had seen her earlier. Every family is entitled to their own decisions at times like these.
