We spent last week in the province of Quebec. Had a great time!! We first went to Montreal then off to Quebec City and finished the week in Gatineau / Ottawa.

Everything went well until I realized that I had left my battery charger for the camera in our hotel in Quebec City. 4 phone calls later it was found is now on route to our house.

Thought I would start with some pics from the old part of Montreal.

I'll post the Quebec City shots later. Thanks for looking!!

Very nice, Dave! I've never been. Going to have to get up there someday. Funny that I've never been since I live in a state that borders Quebec. Yet I have been to BC. Looks very European.

Nice shots, Dave; thanks for sharing some images from your "turf" with us. Hope you and the family had a wonderful, relaxing vacation!

Dave- Excellent! I hope there are more to come- very interesting looking place. I went to Toronto as a kid but don't remember much. Thanks for sharing these.

Great shots, Dave! This reminds me a little of the Montmartre area of Paris.

Thanks for sharing them!

I took these last winter (Sorry, not the best one's).

I'm taking walk there almost everyday during lunch break. Old Port of Montreal

Nice, looking forward to more. I would love to visit that area - in the summer. :)

Thanks so much all!! It sure is a beautiful city. A good mix of old and new. I'll post the Quebec City pics later once I have uploaded them.

Susan you really should go. Quebec City has very european feel, it's just so beautiful. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Ed, we had a great time. the week went by way to fast. Would have loved to stayed longer.

As promised her are some of the Quebec City shots. This city is split in two with the old part right on the St. Lawrence seaway and the newer area outside the fortress walls. We stayed mostly in the old part of Quebec City.

Love the travellogue, Dave. Great work, as usual! What lens do you find yourself reaching for most of the time on your trip? Is that 70-300 getting much action this time?

Thanks Laura!! The 18 - 70mm was used the most in fact 70 - 300 rarely came out at all on the trip. I found myself wanting to shoot wide most of time to take in all the scenery around me.
