We're going to Quebec City Feb. 15,16,17, and Mont Tremblant Feb 18,19,20,21,22,23 leaving on the 24th.
Quebec City-Chateau Frontenac
Mont Tremblant-Fairmont Tremblant
Any info about things to do and see. Also, does anyone have any ideas of a fun place to celebrate DD's birthday in Quebec City? Thanks!!

Chateau Frontnac ! Lucky you !

The winter carnaval will just have finished in Québec...

here is the link to the Québec province tourist website

and the city of Québec:

If you are into skying, Le Massif is an incredible destination , just 45 min from Québec. The mountain is just beside the St-Laurent river , so you feel like you are going downhill in the water ! The vierw is incredible.

In town , the Loews Concorde hotel has a revolving restaurant that might be fun for a birthday dinner ( is her birthday the 15Th ? mine is !)

There is a giant ice slide , just in front of Chateau Frontnac that is very exiting.

Try to take the Levis Ferry , to cross the river , just for the fantastic view you will have ( and it is cheap !)

One nice restaurant is "Aux anciens canadiens" that makes traditional Québecois food, with waiters in traditional grabs

The street "le petit champlain" in the lower town is said to be the oldest street in North america and is now filled with reataurants , art galleries and shops.

I hope you have fun !

Did you check Tremblant.ca ?
As you are not staying within walking distance to the hill, I'm guessing that you have access to a car.
As for things to do, there's the Spa Scandinave which is nice to experience the sauna - hot tub -cold bath outside in the winter. But, I don't know if there's an age restriction. There's a huge sliding hill in the town of St-Jovite, where they supply inflatable tubes (really fun) which is right next to Tremblant. Ask at the hotel they'll be able to direct you, it's a popular place.
As for the restaurants, the two that I recommend are Coco Pazzo -Italian, but not a pasta restaurant, everything is home made. I love their Risotto. My other favourite is La Forge upstairs. The downstairs is the usual casual burger place but upstairs is a nice more upscale steakhouse, comparable to Yachtman's at the YC, it's open for dinner only.

Reservations are best at both restaurants but when you call La Forge you must specify upstairs dinnig room.

Hope this helps

Have fun!

Thanks for the recommendations! I decided to book the Fairmont Tremblant in the village. This way I can walk around and explore and the 3 skiers have ski in ski out accommodations.

Yes very good choice. The Beauvalont looks nice but nothing beats ski in ski out. The restaurants I recommended are all in the pedestrian village adjacent to the Fairmont. They have a crazy parade in the evening - cute show, and walking around in the evening is quite magical.

Have fun

Can you tell me where is this restaurant ?? sounds yummy !!

At Mont Tremblant in the ski village
Here is the link http://www.tremblant.ca
At the bottom of the ski hill (pied du village) is a pedestrian village with lots of shops, restaurants and hotels.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Ooooh, I love going to Mont Tremblant . I like staying at the Fairmont in the winter because of their indoor pool and hot tub. The rooms are nice and the staff is very friendly. It has a bit of a Wilderness Lodge vibe to it. DH keeps begging to go back to the lobster buffet!

For a treat try the restaurant U at the Westin. It's expensive but worth every penny.

Try their new expanded outdoor pool!

U closed. In it's place is a new Japanese restaurant. I haven't tried it yet!
