Que for GOTG

Are you just wanting to view the inside parts of the queue without actually riding? If so, then yes you have to wait in the regular queue with everyone that is riding. They do not have a separate line just for those that want to look but not ride like they do at some Universal attractions.

I have not had a chance to do Mission Breakout yet so I do not know if the LL bypasses the interesting things or not, but many expedited queues tend to bypass the fun views in the standby queue. If you see most of the queue from the LL, you could probably see about doing that if you plan to purchase LL. Someone else would need to advise on the line differences.

I think she's asking if it's worth going through the queue just to see the queue.

My answer: I would check out videos of the queue on YouTube and see if it interests you. The indoor part of the queue is really fun and has a lot of cool easter eggs if you like the movies. But the line moves pretty quickly once you get inside, so you don't spend a lot of time there - unless there's a breakdown.

The pre-show is also pretty great, and is a really fun bit of Imagineering. The inside queue (after the pre-show) has some interesting stuff, but it can take a while and might get kind of boring. (I'm hazy on if there's a good way to exit the queue after the pre-show - you might have to wait until boarding.)

I would say this - if you're with a group of people, it might be worth waiting on. If you're alone, I'd be iffy on it.

(I love the pre-show, so I could see myself doing that if I were somehow unable to ride, but I also love the ride, so you might feel differently.)

The LL queue almost goes straight to the pre-show. You can see some of the indoor queue (including the big screen) if they're not immediately loading the pre-show, but you're pretty far away from most of it, and you'll miss a lot of it.

To be fair - the indoor queue is a relatively short part of the queue. You'll see some of it as you're walking in, but it'll still be a "taste" compared to the normal queue. (And you'll pretty much miss it all if they're loading the pre-show when you walk inside, which is common with the LL lines.)

My son enjoyed going through the queue (maybe a 20-minute wait for us) even though he didn't ride. In fact, we did it twice! But we didn't know he was going to not ride until we got all the way up to the elevators (and the second time, he bolted once we were buckled in).

If you are a huge Guardians fan, then yes I think it might be worth it to go through the line when it is relatively short. I enjoy seeing all the artifacts, video clips, and the pre-show and sometimes wished the line moved more slowly so I could take it all in (I rode right at park close, so they weren't take any more LLs and things moved quick). But this is also my favorite ride ever, so I wouldn't skip the ride part!

My family loves the GotG movies and characters and we all very much enjoy the queue. The outdoor part is not quite as interesting, but there lots and lots of Easter Eggs once in what used to be the main lobby, in the preview rooms, and in the “basement” section both for GotG but also for Marvel in general. Don’t forget to keep your eye on Star-Lord/Quill’s Walkman at the very end as the doors are opening in the Preview section. (And in the same section, anyone who was a fan of the Tower of Tower version should look for the ToT bellhop hat!). If you do the LL, you will bypass most of the “Lobby” section and go directly to the Preview room.
