Quck Ticket Question

We'll be in Florida for 10 days, staying off property with a rental car. We want about 6 days in the parks, including typhoon lagoon. my hunch is that it will be better getting the tickets once we're at WDW as they have more flexibility than the ultimate/premium tickets you can get from the UK (mainly because we're staying 10 days and not 14)

do other ppl agree with this and do you maybe have some ticket ideas to share in case I've missed something.
 
To buy a 5 day base ticket in US(at gate) will cost £156, no hopping, £192 incl hopping
1 day water park £28
6 day including water parks £196 no hopping, £232 incl hopping

I would think your best value ticket would be a 7 day premium bought in UK.
Virgin have them at £183 less upto 10% if you are in Frequent Virgin Club or 5% if you are on Flying club. Even without discount it looks best value.

Plus if you buy online you could possibly get 4% cashback thru Quidco.
