So proud of you Snowysmom! I love your tree! And am happy to hear you’re decorating.

You have come a long way.
Bobbi, thanks for sharing your Thanksgiving pics, what a beautiful thing that is to do. And Bonnie looks spiffy in her new coat! Where did you get it? We’ve apparently lost our dogs’ coats!

But Toto looks good in his new sweater!
We got the outside of the house decorated yesterday - put up garland with lights around the doorway and along the front porch, along with a nice wreath. Instead of bows on the garland this year we did pinecones found out in our yard. And I found a big, pretty ribbon for the wreath that had pinecones on it! We’ll get the inside done this week, but we’re keeping it simple. We had our own turkey dinner today after going out on Thursday.
We had a nice Thanksgiving. There were 19 of us at my BIL/SIL’s house, three were missing. (And another five have passed, not counting my mother who always came with us too.

) We got some nice pictures and most of us walked down on the cranberry bog afterward with three of our dogs. Really nice day out. DS was able to come with his gf and kids so it was the first time that many of the family met them.
I’m hearing that the snow predictions for Tuesday are now turning to rain, where we are, anyway. DD’s been watching as she’ll have to drive to work in it.
DH and I went out on Friday and I had to come home, I was so cold and exhausted. It took me a long time to warm up and I dozed off on the sofa a bit. I looked up online how long the exhaustion lasts after radiation and found it can go on for weeks, and they said it would, so not overly concerned, but what a pain! (I don’t remember that happening first time I had it, but I’m older now, and was probably running on adrenaline then.)
I did wonder if my poor sleep is related, so last night I went searching for a new blanket to see if I could find one that’s not too cold, not too hot, but “just right”. And I think I did! It’s from Portugal, almost like a light wool. I only had to take it off twice last night, and woke up this morning more refreshed than usual lately, having energy to do two loads of laundry, sort through and put several bags of purchases away, and make a pasta salad, etc. So hopefully that keeps up.
DS invited us to the movies last night so we went, and saw Zootopia 2 which was cute. I didn’t expect to like it but I did! I was thinking of you guys when I saw a lady our age come walking into the lobby all dressed up as the Wicked Witch! And she had a shirt that said “Wicked” on it. I tried to get a pic, it didn’t come out great. But glad she was having a good time!
DS found a tick on Toto today, and I think it was a deer tick,

probably from one of our walks in the woods this month. And we noticed on Thursday he was limping, and couldn’t jump up on the bed or sofa, etc. So a vet appointment is in the works for this week.
Guys, the issue with the dialysis pick up is not the nursing staff, it’s ambulance availability. It’s been a problem everywhere (all of US and other countries) going on several years now. I posted an article here earlier this year. That’s why they have to come at a ridiculous time like 2am for a 6am dialysis. It’s that, or nothing! I’m sure no one’s happy about it, but that’s how it’s been. We’ve had patients waiting to transfer to rehabs and go other places, generally done in the afternoon, who were being picked up at 3am! One night a whole night shift went by with a patient waiting to go - and they never came, all night! I met them at the unit door at 7:30am and their reason was that they’d had a sick call so didn’t have enough staff to do the run. I told them they should’ve called, as the patient sat up all night waiting, but it wasn’t their issue, they’d just come on shift. It’s just a mess right now. That’s the problem. Still stinks.
I hope everyone has a good week!
