Peachpie Thankfully I have not had to deice the car yet. The cold weather is here.

Good morning. It is 26 here now with temps heading to 43 or so. I walked at the lake yesterday. There were lots of ducks. As I was walking one quacked alot and sounded like Donald Duck. I love walking in nature and seeing and hearing different things each time. I miss it in the winter when there is snow on the ground. I go to Target once in a while, not enough to make the red card program work well for me. Today is Market Basket day. I am hoping not to have to go to a grocery store anytime after Saturday at 6:30 am when I will go to Wegmans. It will be crazy over the weekend and next week.

Good morning. Poured down rain from 4 pm until well after I went to bed at 1. Today is supposed to turn sunny and be 53. Dave did come yesterday and chipped off the bad parts of the steps, and measured to see what he needed for wood for the frames, and figure out how many bags of cement he was going to need. He'll be back either today or tomorrow.

I don't have a Target within 45 minutes of me, so no point in owning a Red Card.

I have another Walmart pkg coming from Fed Ex today, and it had better not be the same idiot driver as the last 2 days or I will be having a conversation with them. According to Walmart, the item was in stock at the store, so I have no idea why they shipped it Fed Ex when it should have been delivered from the store.

It’s raining hard in Pleasantville and so it’s good that i decided to stay home with Bonnie instead of keeping her in the car as we drove around NJ on some errands. Tom’s at Rothman Institute getting a cortisone shot that helps his bursitis around his hip.

Gloomy & dreary around here today. Husband had a fun morning taking one of the pups to the vet for an emergency the thankfully turned out ok, at least we think so. She’s home recovering & sleeping it off with pain meds.
I can’t believe it’s almost thanksgiving already! What’s everyone’s plans? Neither of our boys will be around- youngest will be at his in-laws & eldest will be at my parents, my brother & his family who usually join us are doing dinner with his mother in laws family so it will just be my husband, me and my brother & sister in law & our 9 year old niece. So only 5 to cook for. Husband is leaving first thing Friday morning for a hunting trip and I’m going to enjoy a leisurely weekend of doing some Christmas decorating and chilling out.

Here’s something we haven’t had in a while. In honor of my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving- here is a QOTD/or week:

Mine would be stuffing, followed very closely by pumpkin roll!

We will be hosting 4 Coast Guard recruits with my sister Nancy and Garry!

Tom picks them up at 9:15. We’ll have Polish food for brunch, and a turkey dinner.

Tom stops by the Wawa and lets them pick out their favorite snacks. They spend lots of time on their phones. We have done jigsaw puzzles, decorated Gingerbread Houses, watched football and holiday movies. They always have their study books with them, and yes, there are those who study, and we’ve also had those that take naps. (They are only allowed to take off their boots!)
